Which cosmetic company is named after Shakespeare’s birthplace?

Trivia: Which cosmetic company is named after Shakespeare’s birthplace?

Avon
Clarins
Lancôme
Aveda

The correct answer is Avon

So why is this answer correct? : Avon was founded by book salesman David H. McConnell in 1886. McConnell began including perfume samples in his books to entice people to listen to his door-to-door sales pitches. Customers became more interested in the perfume than the books, so he began selling perfume full time under the name “The California Perfume Company.” A few decades later, in 1928, McConnell named a product line after Stratford-on-Avon, the birthplace of his favorite playwright, William Shakespeare. He eventually changed the company name to Avon in 1939.
