The Quiz: Which of Saturn’s moons resembles the Death Star from “Star Wars”?
Enceladus
Dione
Mimas
Pan
Eerie images of Mimas bear a strong resemblance to the Death Star from “Star Wars.” Of course, Mimas is a naturally occurring satellite and not a star-destroying mega-weapon. Mimas was discovered back in 1789 by William Herschel. Its giant impact crater, the one from which it gains its “Star Wars” affiliation, was named “Herschel” after its discoverer. The Herschel Crater is 80 miles wide, about one-third of the moon’s diameter.
The correct answer to this quiz is Mimas.
