Trivia: Which Batman villain did NOT debut during the Golden Age?
Bane
The Joker
Two-Face
Penguin
The correct answer is Bane
So why is this answer correct? : The
Golden Age saw the introduction of several now-legendary Batman
villains, notably the Joker in 1940, Penguin in 1941, and Two-Face in
1942. However, there were certain characters, who wouldn’t debut until
decades later. Ra’s al Ghul and his League of Assassins first appeared
in “Batman No. 232” in June 1971, and the powerful Bane — who famously
broke Batman’s back — made his debut in “Batman: Vengeance of Bane Issue
No. 1” in January 1993.
