Trivia: What is Harrods?
London’s first bank
A history museum
London’s oldest pub
A department store
The correct answer is A department store
So why is this answer correct? : In 1849, Henry Charles Harrod opened a grocery store, but little did he know he was founding one of London’s most iconic enterprises. The store continued to expand in the late 19th century, and soon became a one-stop shop for everything from theater tickets to travel reservations. Today, Harrods has around 300 departments but is mostly known for its high-end fashion brands. The store is located south of Hyde Park, just a few blocks from Buckingham Palace.
