Trivia: “Lundi,” “mardi,” and “mercredi” are what?
Primary colors
Months of the year
Numbers
Days of the week
The correct answer is Days of the week
So why is this answer correct? : Learning the names of days and months is important for any French speaker. From Monday through Sunday, the days of the week (“les jours de la semaine”) are: lundi, mardi, mercredi, jeudi, vendredi, samedi, and dimanche. French months are more obvious to English speakers since they all came from Latin roots. They are as follows: janvier, février, mars, avril, mai, juin, juillet, août, septembre, octobre, novembre, and décembre. Similar to the capitalization rules for languages, the days of the week and months of the year are also not capitalized in French.
