Trivia: What is the name of the archipelago at Greenland’s southern tip?
Cape Depart
Cape Farewell
Cape Later
Cape Goodbye
The correct answer is Cape Farewell
So why is this answer correct? : Norse explorer Erik the Red traveled to Greenland after being exiled from Iceland and may have named it Greenland to attract more people to join him there. (Or perhaps “Greenland” is a mistranslation altogether.) But the southern tip likely would have been quite green when he saw it, and today, the Cape Farewell archipelago is one of the rare parts of the island not covered in glaciers.
