Which of the following men was a founding member of the Rolling Stones?
Joe Perry
Brian Jones
Roger Waters
Jimmy Page
Brian Jones was a founding member and original leader of the Rolling Stones. Jones co-founded the Rolling Stones in 1962 and even christened the band with its iconic name. When Jones developed alcohol and drug problems, his performance in the studio became increasingly unreliable, leading to a diminished role within the band he had helped create. In 1969, the Rolling Stones dismissed Jones; guitarist Mick Taylor took his place in the group. Tragically, less than a month after his departure, Jones died by drowning in the swimming pool at his home.
The correct answer is Brian Jones.
