[Solved] The ice cream cone made its debut at what event?

The Quiz: The ice cream cone made its debut at what event?

1904 St. Louis World’s Fair
The first NASCAR race
President McKinley’s inauguration
The Centennial Parade of 1876

Ice cream cones were made by accident at the 1904 World’s Fair in St. Louis, Missouri. As the story goes, an ice cream vendor had a little too much success selling his cold treat, and he ran out of bowls. In the stand next door, Syrian vendor Ernest Hamwi was selling zalabia (a crisp waffle pastry) and offered some to the ice cream vendor. They rolled the waffles into a cone shape and served ice cream on top. Hamwi saved the day and incidentally helped create one of America’s greatest desserts.

The correct answer to this quiz is 1904 St. Louis World’s Fair.
