Trivia: Introduced in a 1922 magazine, what were the first Girl Scout Cookies?
Chocolate chip cookies
Thin Mints
Sugar cookies
Tagalongs
The correct answer is Sugar cookies
So why is this answer correct? : In 1917, a troop of Girl Scouts in Muskogee, Oklahoma, raised funds by selling whatever cookies they could make. Five years later, the practice became official when an article in “The American Girl” magazine offered a classic sugar cookie recipe and recommended Scouts from across the country bake the cookies to sell around their community. They did, for about 30 cents a dozen, and a delicious tradition was born.
