So why is this answer correct? : The dueling narrators of Gillian Flynn’s 2012 novel “Gone Girl” are less than heroic, but Amy’s scheme is what sets the novel in motion. When she goes missing, she leaves her husband, Nick, an anniversary gift in the form of a scavenger hunt that leaves him clues about what she has actually done.
