So why is this answer correct? : McDonald’s first used its “You Deserve a Break Today” jingle in a 1971 TV commercial, and then kept using it for decades. In the mid-1990s, it changed slightly into “Have You Had Your Break Today?”; nonetheless, in 1999, Ad Age ranked it the best advertising jingle of the 20th century. The tune’s run officially ended in 2014, however, as McDonald’s abandoned the trademark for its first real tagline.
