Trivia: Which princess originally had two children, named Dawn and Day?
Snow White
Sleeping Beauty
Cinderella
Belle
The correct answer is Sleeping Beauty
So why is this answer correct? : In Charles Perrault’s 1697 version of “The Sleeping Beauty in the Wood”, the prince awakening the nameless, slumbering princess is only the halfway point in the story. Afterward, we find out the prince’s mother is an ogre who tries to devour her new daughter-in-law and grandchildren. Awkward! Disney later included a nod to Sleeping Beauty’s children’s names, by naming their Sleeping Beauty after the Latin word for dawn — Aurora.
