So why is this answer correct? : First created in 1890, the original size of Shredded Wheat was huge by today’s standards: 3- by 4-inch rectangles. These toasted loaves were broken up into smaller bits to be eaten with milk at breakfast. Fast forward to the 1980s, when Shredded Wheat commercials aired on TV. The slogan “Shredded Wheat. Bet you can’t eat three” became the most popular cereal tagline at the time. Even the U.K. Prime Minister David Cameron quoted the cereal when he resigned after two terms, declaring that “like Shredded Wheat … three terms might just be too many.” Today, in addition to the original “big biscuit” size, Post also offers a “spoon size” version of the cereal.
